HITEC Libraries

 

A library is like an island in the middle of a vast sea of ignorance. HITEC Libraries provides students with an efficient and reliable stock of books under the supervision of professional librarian. Moreover, the HITEC has subscribed The Jang, The Dawn, and different Magazines. At present, the HITEC has a Central Library and 03 institutional libraries comprising thousands of books on various areas to enhance students’ knowledge. All registered students are entitled to borrow books as per library policy. It embeds in learners a craving for learning and information in an organized way.

HITEC Library is spacious enough to mesmerize the attention of the budding geniuses from all disciplines. An orderly stock of relevant text books, resource books and Magazine on diversified areas is available to satisfy the students’ thirst for knowledge.

HITEC Libraries Rules

  1. All Students and Faculty Members of HITEC Schools/Colleges are eligible to borrow materials from the library. Borrowing privileges may differ depending on the membership category. The borrowing privileges are as under:

  1. Silence should be observed in the library.

  2. Mobile phone should be kept off.

  3. Leave your bags and other belongings outside the library entrance, on your own responsibility. The library disclaims any liability for loss or damage

  4. Seats in the library cannot be reserved.

  5. Eating and drinking etc. are not permitted within library premises.

  6. Do not write, underline or mark any book(s). Library book(s) are carefully examined on return and the borrower will be held responsible for the damage.

  7. Any student/library member caught mutilating or stealing library materials will be referred to the Disciplinary Committee and membership will be suspended till decision. If a student/library member continues this act, his/her membership will be permanently canceled

  8. Book(s) returned after due date, a fine of Rs.5/- per day will be charged.

  9. A valid library card is a must for borrowing the Book(s) and other material.

  10. Reference material, CD, periodicals, magazine and newspapers will not be issued. They can only be consulted within the library premises.

  11. In case of loss or damage, the student/library Member will be charged three times of current price of book or other material.

  12. Anyone who leaves the HITEC School/College without returning the book(s) borrowed from the library, the price of the book will be adjusted against his dues.

  13. All library fines are only paid with the accounts department. Library account will be blocked if the fine is not paid.

  1. Library will be closed for 15 days at the end of every academic year for annual stocktaking.
