HITEC Raising Day 2023
HITEC Schools & Colleges organized a grand celebration on the occasion of 6th September – Defense Day of Pakistan and Raising Day of Hitec. The event was graced by the presence of the worthy Chairman HITEWT, the honorable Maj. Gen. Shakir Ullah Khattak, HI(M) and the most respectable Begum Chairman as the guests of honor.
The program commenced with recitation from the Holy Quran by a talented young student from HITEC Margalla School and College. The audience and the worthy Chief Guest was so moved by his soulful qiraat that he generously awarded him with a cash award as a token of appreciation.
The program continued after Ms Rubina Akhtar, Director Academics HITEC formally welcomed the guests. She expressed her gratitude to the honorable Begum and worthy Chairman HITEWT for sparing time and honoring HITEC with their presence. HITEC Junior School showcased a series of vibrant performances captivating the audience and filling the air with excitement and joy. HITEC Choir, consisting of both boys and girls enthralled everyone with their melodious singing of patriotic songs fostering a sense of national pride among the attendees.
Alumni students from HITEC School & College for Boys and HITEC School & College for Girl, Zahid Shehryar- a medical student from Army Medical College and Shaista Khan selected in the foreign services of Pakistan after her CSS, spoke about their school days in HITEC and the contribution of HITEC in their success stories. They expressed gratitude to their teachers and their alma mater for making them who they were.
Addressing the gathering the honorable Chairman HITEWT emphasized the importance of patriotism and education. His inspirational words encouraged both the students and faculty to continue their dedicated efforts towards excellence. Addressing the students the Chairman said that they need to focus on becoming the best versions of themselves. He also said that teachers are the most important segment of the society as they teach children to distinguish between right and wrong. He appreciated the efforts of the teachers and parents in bringing out the best in students.
The celebration was marked by the cake-cutting ceremony where the alumni students Shaista Khan and Zahid Shehryar cut cakes for Defense Day and HITEC raising day. All faculty and staff members who had dedicated their services to HITEC since 2006 had tea with the esteemed chief guests.
The Chairman talked to the staff during tea as well expressing his gratitude for their dedication and hard work.
The event concluded on a high note, leaving everyone inspired and united in their love for peace.
